Walking Meditation
My favorite walking meditation.
While hunkered down during this pandemic I felt inspired to record a meditation that has been really helpful to me over the years. It’s a simple meditation that helps me to get back into my natural rhythm which is not fear. I hope it helps you too.
Have you ever felt thwarted by human weakness? Maybe there's another way to look at it...
Some 20/20 for 2020: Every time we take action we are giving, so it’s kind of important to be aware of what we’re doing. Begin a practice of mindful giving in 2020.
Which is it when it comes to relationships: Like attracts like or opposites attract? Can it be both?
As a holistic counselor and coach, exploring love is paramount. So often when a client comes in we spend a lot of time talking about what love is not and the havoc it wreaks, so when I came across this quote from Ann Landers I found it to be very refreshing. I hope you do too!
If you are intrigued there is likely a message in this story for you because with intuition the logic comes later...

Do you want to be right or do you want to be happy? Whatever you believe you will find all kinds of information to back it. But only the truth can bring forth genuine happiness.
...So I took a few deep, cleansing breaths and as I did another picture appeared—a picture of a mother who missed me and didn’t know how to express it... I hold dear in my heart that first time she initiated a call saying, “I know that you’re busy but when you have a chance do you think we could meet for breakfast?”
Jesus didn’t say to the sick man He healed at Bethesda, “Cut out gluten and see me again in 2 weeks.” He said, “Wilt thou be made whole?” ~John 5:6 KJV or in the NIV translation, “Do you want to get well?”

He loved her well, can be interpreted as he did a good job of loving her. It also can be interpreted as he loved her back to health. What might that even look like? It's good stuff!
Did you get the finger wag with it’s accompanying, “You should have known better,” as a kid rather than the arm around the shoulder that says, “How could you have known. You’ve never been in a situation like this before?” If so you have likely developed a high tolerance for pain.
My Valentine’s Day Blog is dedicated to my mom. A handful of you know that she left this world last summer at the age of 91. The Words of Remembrance I wrote in her honor were prompted by some cool stuff that happened the day following her passing and wound up being a conversation about love, gratitude and relationships. What better subjects for the holiday that celebrates love!
