“Where’s Sunny?” emerged from my desire to share my love of nature and photography with my grandchildren in a way that was fun and educational.
In the search for Sunny the Green Frog, the narrator encounters wildlife local to various parts of New England. In some of the photos, the reader must find the wildlife in its natural setting, and in other photos, a detail is revealed. Who finds Sunny? You’ll have to read it to find out!
My hope is for children to develop an appreciation, respect, and reverence for the nature with which we share our lives while giving it a respectful berth. These photos were taken with a zoom lens. Just like us, these creatures may get irritated when their boundaries are violated, so please teach your children to enjoy and be fascinated by nature with supervision and at a safe distance.
