Take the Trauma Out of Change
Most people aren’t fans of change. That’s why we do the same thing over and over in hopes of a different outcome. We all know what that defines though.
- Have you stayed at a job, in a relationship or at a residence for longer than was healthy? These can indicate fears and concerns regarding change.
- Have you gone from being single to coupled or coupled to single? From not being a parent to being a parent or from being a parent to having adult children or being a parent-in-law? How are those transitions going for you? Are you still harboring hurt or resentment or unclear on how to engage in new settings?
- Did you know that even good changes involve a grieving process? And that coming home from work to be with family involves change?
Since change is inevitable and holistic counselor, Trish Whynot, D.C.Ed. has recent experience from spending the last couple years in the flux, she is providing an open forum for discussing your fears and concerns involving change, how to heal from the ones that didn’t go so well and teaching you ways to transition with elegance and grace. She will show you how to utilize everyday scenarios so that the big changes won’t seem so traumatic, and to ultimately—and in your own time—embrace change.
