How Might My Higher Self View the Eclipse?

How Might My Higher Self View the Eclipse?

I’ve been reading people’s “spiritual” takes on the eclipse and they vary widely. A gloom and doom story sent me in pursuit of understanding. The truth is, we assume with our own filters. So I asked my Higher Self for her view as I walked my pup today and this is what I got...

My desire is to be positively touched by this eclipse. I believe that it is a choice. The message I received in response to my positive desire is that the eclipse is the picture of healing. That it only takes a moment of the dark and the light seeing themselves in each other for healing to take place. It only takes a moment to move from the perspective of separation to that of oneness. That is all it takes for a relationship to shift from one that is tumultuous to one that is holy. No fighting necessary. No protective strategies required. They aren't even helpful. Just a willingness to see yourself in another sets the healing in motion.

I often say that if we could sit all the heads of government down together and have them watch the “Lion King 2” that there would be world peace because in the “Lion King 2,” Kiara (from the 'light' side) and Kovu (from the 'dark') helped the divided pride to see themselves in each other and in so doing they realized—made real—what always was; that they are all one.

What a brilliant movie. And how ingenious to use a "pride" of lions to tell the story. It's time to transcend our pride and to seek oneness. That's what I've been doing and the results have been miraculous. And believe me, I've gotten stuck in my share of "separation" stories. I've done my share of kicking and screaming. I've done my share of playing God because I was afraid that God wouldn't do His job. Wisdom is born of experience.

We even named our 2 cats, (who were litter mates) Kiara and Kovu. They were my first little reminders to seek oneness. In the face of a proverbial eclipse you can either seek to snuff out each other's light and both emerge heavier, dimmer and more self-righteous or you can seek oneness and both come out the other side lighter, brighter and wiser.

Can you guess who is who in the photo?

Thank you doomer and gloomer for sparking my search for understanding. We are all one! It even indicates it in the Bible where it says, "The Lord is one." Mark 12:29 and where it reminds us to "Love your neighbor as yourself." Mark 12:31. And it indicates it in A Course in Miracles too: "A miracle is a service. It is the maximal service you can render to another. It is a way of loving your neighbor as yourself. You recognize your own and your neighbor's worth simultaneously." (T-1.I.18)

As the infamous poem says, some people come into our lives for a reason, some for a season and a rare few for a lifetime. According to my worldview, we are all Friends in this Love. Works for me!

Thank you for being a Friend!
